Book a Consultation or Session
Booking is handled through a secure practice management portal. When you click the button below, you'll leave this site and land in the booking system, where you can choose a time and confirm your appointment.
Here's what happens step by step, so there are no surprises:
The Booking Process
1. Create your account
The portal asks you to set up a quick account. This is where your appointment details, intake forms, and (later) session notes are stored securely. It takes about two minutes.
2. Choose your appointment type and service provider
There are two appointment types at this stage:
Free 15-minute consultation. A short video call to discuss what's bringing you in and determine whether the fit is right. No commitment, no intake paperwork yet.
First full session. A 50 to 60-minute virtual session at $150.
If you are not sure which to choose, start with the consultation.
3. Pick a time
Available slots show in real time. Current appointment availability is Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm.
4. Confirm with a credit card on file
A credit card is required to secure your appointment slot, including for the free consultation. The card on file is used to confirm the booking and, for paid sessions, to handle billing and late-cancellation fees under the 48-hour cancellation policy.
The card is not charged for the free consultation.
This step is standard for professional, registered practices. It also ensures that appointment slots are reserved for people who are serious about starting the work.
5. Log in to your OWL Practice account for your appointment
A join link will be visible beside your appointment time, starting 30 minutes before your appointment. Click on it and follow the prompts to ensure video and microphone access. Shelby will join the video call at your appointment start time. If you have any difficulty accessing the call, your OWL account includes a secure messaging feature to reach your therapist.
About the Booking Platform
The portal is OWL Practice, a Canadian practice management system used by Registered Psychotherapists across Ontario. It is PHIPA-compliant and keeps your health information separate from this public website. All video sessions are conducted within the same secure platform.

-
It is a short video conversation. The focus is simple: what is bringing you to therapy right now, and whether working together seems like a good fit. No intake paperwork, no detailed history. If you decide to move forward, the first full session covers those.
